Early Life
No Sitch was born in 1908 in Des Moines, Iowa. His owner, Dr. J.B. Taylor, was a veterinarian who was also a big fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Taylor named the dog No Sitch after a popular vaudeville song of the time.
As a puppy, No Sitch was full of energy and loved to play. He was also very protective of his family and friends. Taylor quickly realized that No Sitch would make a great mascot for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

In 1910, Taylor took No Sitch to his first Iowa football game. The dog was an instant hit with the fans. He ran onto the field before the game and barked at the opposing team. He also sat on the sidelines during the game and cheered on the Hawkeyes.
No Sitch quickly became a beloved member of the Iowa football team. He was known for his loyalty, spirit, and love of the game. He was also a great ambassador for the university.
