In a world often dominated by men, Armand Rosamilia is a beacon of hope for women in heavy metal music. As the founder and editor of Metal Queens Monthly, he has dedicated his life to celebrating and empowering female musicians in the genre. We recently had the chance to chat with Armand about his passion for metal, his mission to promote diversity and inclusion, and his hopes for the future of the genre.
The Birth of Metal Queens Monthly
Armand's love for heavy metal began at a young age. He grew up listening to bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Slayer, and he was immediately drawn to the raw energy and power of the music. As he got older, he started to notice the lack of representation of women in the genre. He realized that there were many talented female musicians who were being overlooked simply because of their gender.
In 2016, Armand decided to take action. He founded Metal Queens Monthly, a digital magazine dedicated to showcasing the work of women in heavy metal. The magazine features interviews, reviews, and articles on female musicians from all over the world. Within a short period of time, Metal Queens Monthly has become a go-to resource for fans of female-fronted metal.
Empowering Women in Metal
Armand's mission is to empower women in heavy metal music. He believes that women should have the same opportunities as men to succeed in the genre. He is passionate about providing a platform for female musicians to share their stories and their music with the world.
"I want to create a space where women in metal feel supported and celebrated," Armand says. "I want them to know that they're not alone, and that there are people who believe in them."
Promoting Diversity and Inclusion
In addition to empowering women, Armand is also passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in heavy metal music. He believes that the genre should be welcoming to people of all races, genders, and sexual orientations.
"I want metal to be a place where everyone feels welcome," Armand says. "I want to break down the barriers that have kept people out of the genre in the past."
The Future of Metal
Armand is optimistic about the future of heavy metal music. He believes that the genre is becoming more diverse and inclusive, and that there are more opportunities for women to succeed. He is excited to see what the future holds for female musicians in metal.
"I think the future of metal is bright," Armand says. "There are more women getting involved in the genre than ever before, and they're making their voices heard. I'm excited to see what they accomplish in the years to come."
Armand Rosamilia is a true champion of women in heavy metal music. Through his work with Metal Queens Monthly, he is empowering female musicians, promoting diversity and inclusion, and shaping the future of the genre. We are grateful for his dedication and passion, and we can't wait to see what he accomplishes in the years to come.
