Dr. David Rosen was born into a Jewish family in New York City in 1929. His parents were secular Jews, but they instilled in him a strong sense of ethics and compassion. As a young boy, David was fascinated by science and medicine, and he dreamed of becoming a doctor.

In 1951, David graduated from medical school and began his residency at a hospital in Brooklyn. It was during this time that he first encountered the Christian faith. A colleague invited him to a Bible study, and David was intrigued by what he heard.

David began to study the Bible on his own, and he was soon convinced that Jesus was the Messiah. In 1953, he was baptized and became a Christian. His decision to follow Jesus did not sit well with his family, but David was determined to live out his faith.

After completing his residency, David joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Japan. It was there that he met his wife, Mieko. Mieko was a Japanese Christian, and she had a profound impact on David's faith.

In 1957, David and Mieko moved to Africa, where they served as missionaries for five years. They worked in a hospital in a remote village, and they provided medical care to the local people. David and Mieko also shared their faith with the villagers, and many of them came to know Jesus as their Savior.

In 1962, David and Mieko returned to the United States, where they continued to serve as missionaries. They worked with a variety of organizations, including the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the American Bible Society.

In 1970, David and Mieko moved to Israel, where they lived for the next 30 years. They founded a medical clinic in Jerusalem, and they provided medical care to both Israelis and Palestinians. David and Mieko also worked to promote peace and reconciliation between the two peoples.

In 2000, David and Mieko retired from their medical work, but they continued to serve the Lord in other ways. They traveled extensively, speaking at churches and conferences around the world. They also wrote several books, including "From Judaism to Jesus" and "The Cross and the Star of David."

Dr. David Rosen died in 2018 at the age of 89. He was a faithful servant of the Lord, and he touched the lives of countless people with his love and compassion. His story is an inspiring example of how God can use ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Lessons from Dr. Rosen's Life

There are many lessons that we can learn from Dr. Rosen's life. Here are a few of the most important ones:

  • God can use anyone to do His work. Dr. Rosen was not a famous preacher or a wealthy businessman. He was just an ordinary doctor. But God used him to make a difference in the lives of countless people.
  • It is never too late to come to Jesus. Dr. Rosen was 24 years old when he first encountered the Christian faith. He had already built a successful career as a doctor, but he was still willing to give it all up to follow Jesus.
  • God's love knows no boundaries. Dr. Rosen served people from all walks of life, regardless of their race, religion, or nationality. He believed that everyone is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with love and respect.
  • We are all called to serve others. Dr. Rosen spent his life serving others, both physically and spiritually. He believed that we are all called to use our gifts and talents to make a difference in the world.

Dr. David Rosen was a true servant of the Lord. He lived a life of faith, hope, and love. His story is an inspiration to us all, and it reminds us that God can use anyone to do His work.
