CLEF 2024 Lugano

The 10th International Conference of the CLEF Association (CLEF 2024) will be held in Lugano, Switzerland, from September 15-18, 2024. The conference will feature a keynote address by a world-renowned expert in the field of IR or NLP, as well as a series of invited talks, paper presentations, and workshops.

CLEF 2024 will also host the following tracks:

• Ad-hoc retrieval
• Entity recognition and linking
• Information extraction
• Machine translation
• Multimedia retrieval
• Question answering
• Speech processing
• Text mining

In addition to the main conference tracks, CLEF 2024 will also feature a number of workshops and tutorials on topics such as:

• The use of artificial intelligence in IR and NLP
• The evaluation of IR and NLP systems
• The application of IR and NLP technologies to real-world problems

Call for Papers

CLEF 2024 invites submissions of papers on all aspects of IR and NLP. Papers can be either full papers (up to 8 pages) or short papers (up to 4 pages). All papers must be submitted in English.

The deadline for paper submission is March 15, 2024.

• March 15, 2024: Paper submission deadline
• May 15, 2024: Notification of acceptance
• June 15, 2024: Camera-ready deadline
• September 15-18, 2024: Conference dates

Venue

CLEF 2024 will be held at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano, Switzerland. The Palazzo dei Congressi is a state-of-the-art conference center located in the heart of Lugano.

Registration

Registration for CLEF 2024 will open in May 2024. The registration fee will include access to all conference sessions, workshops, and tutorials, as well as a welcome reception and a conference banquet.

Accommodations

A number of hotels are located within walking distance of the Palazzo dei Congressi. Information on hotel accommodations will be available on the conference website.
